Projekt description

Objectives

The comprehensive visualisation of the results as well as the extensive didactical editing (castle model, information boards, castle trail, virtual presentation in the internet, publications) enables broad utilisation by specialists ( building researchers, historians, castle proprietors) and in particular also for people outside the cultural framework (interested individuals, tourist agencies, youth organisations). This leads to an improved access for the largest possible number of citizens in the European Union and should intensify the recognition of culture as an economic factor with regards to tourist advancement.

It can be expected that a long-term result will be the largest possible detailed knowledge regarding the history of the buildings and the chronology of selected outstanding castles which have a dominant role in the European castle landscape. At the same time general questions regarding castle research and also castle restoration can be answered.

In this way it can be shown that the methodology exemplified in the integral model solutions in the four outstanding castles from various parts of Europe is transferable to all objects independent of geographical location
